About Us
The PORT Teen Center opened in 2006 in the lower level of the Freeport Community Center at 53 Depot St. We have a large space that is perfect for studying or for socializing, and we have wi-fi capability for laptop users. Our recreation area has ping-pong, pool, air hockey, and foosball, as well as a flat-screen tv with an Xbox and a stereo system with a port for your iPod. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.Mission Statement
The PORT is a youth-driven teen center which provides a safe, enriching, and dynamic atmosphere for area teenagers. We provide a place in which teens can explore new ideas, new skills, and new friendships. The PORT strives to provide a hip, chem-free alternative in the social life of teenagers, as well as offering educational opportunities to expand their intellectual, emotional, and physical lives.Vision Statement
The PORT Teen Center will be a constant presence in the lives of teens in the Freeport, Durham, and Pownal communities. Through dedication and focused commitment we will aim to build a strong and successful organization which strives to nurture and enrich the lives of teens.
